ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Lago Agrio – Cuyabeno Reserve – Lodge.

We meet you at “HOTEL MAGIC PARADISE» in Lago Agrio here you can order your breakfast at an extra cost of 4USD, the guide will pick up you at 9:00 am, and for people traveling by flight we pick them up at the airport.

After picking up the people who arrive by fligth, we will transfer you by private bus to El Puente, which is the entrance to the Cuyabeno Reserve.

From El Puente we take a canoe trip down the Cuyabeno River to the lodge where we will have your lunch, followed by a siesta before starting the activities.

DAY 2: Laguna Grande – Hike – Chocolate Making – Night canoe ride.

After breakfast, we will do a trekking in the primary jungle to learn about medicinal plants, flora and fauna.

After lunch, you can relax by the river or enjoy a siesta in one of our hammocks. Afternoon activities include swimming in the large lagoon, and canoe excursion to search for alligators. And the day conclude with a magnificent sunset and a delicious meal.

DAY 3: Siona Indigenous Community

This day we will walk in a different part of the jungle. This includes the opportunity to see the largest trees in the Amazon rainforest and the different ecosystems.

We also visit an indigenous community, where our naturalist guide will explain the culture and traditions of the native peoples. Here you will learn about the traditional amazon food after you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

Your day concludes watching the beautiful sunset in the lagoon and you will have the opportunity to see more wildlife, before having dinner.

DAY 4: The Bridge -Lago Agrio – Quito

After breakfast, you will back by canoe ride the Cuyabeno River to El Puente, taking your last time to look at the jungle animals, flora and fauna. We will back arrive at Lago Agrio at 2 in the afternoon,you will can take your return to Quito/Baños either by bus or plane.

WHAT TO BRING:

Light short or long-sleeved t-shirts, insect repellent, 2 or more long pants (no jeans), zip-lock bags to keep gear dry, 2 or more shorts, binoculars (optional), flashlight with extra batteries , socks one pair per day , sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes and sandals, windbreaker jacket or sweater, first aid kit, personal hygiene items (shampoo and biodegradable soap better), cap or hat, swimsuit, underwear, glasses sunscreen, towel, camera, copy of passport, small backpack and extra money.

  Everything was arranged very well by our guide, Wilson. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. He drove us from our hotel to Bucay where we chose the “medium... read more difficulty” course and saw 3 waterfalls. Some parts were steep so if you have never hiked before i would recommend choosing the easy option. Wilson knew all the local plants and animals and even natural medicines. We had option to swim in the waterfall and it was such a beautiful experience. After the hike we stopped for lunch, which was the most delicious meal we had in town so far. Then a relaxing drive back to our hotel. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to see true natural Ecuador.
